Spelling Bees practices kindergarten sight words, words from school and short critter names. Bees carry the letters; your child taps them in order to fill the honeycomb, then hears the word spelled back and used in a silly sentence.
Every word starts with lots of help and needs less each time: first the letters to match are shown in the honeycomb, then the word to copy, then a quick look to remember, and finally just the spoken word. A word earns its โญ after four tries with no mistakes, no peeking and no hints. Mistakes are never punished; a wrong bee just bonks and buzzes back.
โSchool wordsโ has the words from the UFLI Foundations home practice sheets. For another list, type it here, with spaces or commas between words. It shows up as โOur wordsโ on the start screen. Words that arenโt already in the game are read by this deviceโs voice.
